Tell us what you are imagining — even if it is vague. A season, a feeling, a photograph you saw once. That is usually enough for us to begin.
We read every message
There is no call centre and no enquiry queue. Messages come to our office in Thimphu and a travel designer answers them — usually the same day, always within one working day.
The more you tell us the better the first reply will be. How long you have, roughly when, how many of you, and what you are hoping the trip feels like.
What happens next
So you know exactly what you are starting.
We reply, properly
Within one working day, from Thimphu. A real answer to what you asked — not a brochure attachment and a request for a call.
We ask better questions
Usually a short exchange, sometimes a call. What you enjoyed on other trips, what you would rather avoid, how hard you like to walk.
A written proposal
Day by day, with the reasoning behind each choice, and an itemised price showing what the government takes and what we charge.
We revise until it fits
Most journeys go through three or four drafts. Nothing is booked, and nothing is owed, until you are happy with it.
Thimphu, Bhutan
Our office is in the capital, which matters more than it sounds. When a road closes, a festival date shifts or a flight is cancelled, the person sorting it out is an hour or two away from the problem — not in a different time zone waiting for an email.
Bhutan is GMT +6. If you are writing from Europe, expect a reply the following morning; from North America, overnight.
Not ready to write yet?
Read first. We would rather you arrived with good questions than none.
Where to go
Ten valleys, and how long each deserves.
When to come
Month by month, including the seasons we would talk you out of.
Visa & fees
What the government charges and what it covers.
Festival dates
Forty-five festivals across the year.
Where to stay
What Bhutan’s hotels are actually like.
Questions
Money, altitude, food, packing, connectivity.
